Although the shorter men will take it more easily perhaps than the tall individuals, all shapes and sizes can learn the basic curl up to handstand to the press-up in hand-stand position. The one arm chin is another feat easily learnt. Devote a tenth of your training time spent on the bench press each week to trying the single arm chin. You'll soon be able to perform it ... reps. While I'm on the subject of performance, quite apart from impressing, everybody, bodybuilder or not, should learn to swim. Everyone unable to swim has a secret fear of water, so consequently you'll feel much more confident in yourself if you can master water. Besides it is a real source of enjoyment.
Most top bodybuilders have dabbled in judo and have become fairly competent at about five basic throws. It might be an interesting second string to your bow. If you are very keen to gain considerable bodyweight then there are certain activities to avoid. Sprinting over short distances can do nothing but good, but it is not advised that the serious bodybuilder take up long distance running or any other sport that demands tremendous stamina. The sports and activities that ideally combine with bodybuilding are weight-lifting, hand-balancing, wrestling, diving, strand pulling and shot putting. Other pastimes such as gymnastics, judo, javelin, discus, swimming, sprint running and cycling do not prevent one gaining weight unless one makes the mistake of overdoing any of these chosen activities. Obviously you're going to find weight-gaining hard if you spend a couple of hours at judo before your workout and go twisting afterwards.
A sense of proportion is needed 'moderation in all things' is a suitable adage. Most top bodybuilders, specialists in their field, are exceptionally good at some other activity. Current Pro Mr. Universe Earl Maynard is one of our top wrestlers, Reub Martin is a magnificent Herculean hand-balancer, Bill Stevens is a top judo man, Leo Robert is an expert at ice hockey, and to top it all, Reg Park is spending time at one of his first loves, football. What can you do?

Even in Scotland, where there used to be some of the best P.C. shows in Britain. The Spartan Club, Aberdeen, organised some of the biggest and packed P.C. shows anywhere in Britain, they ended when they startedlosing money.
There is a slight revival in Scotland as a whole, so maybe it is due for a change.
Dennis Stallard finds his "Wales" show a headache. When he tries to find a fresh venue in another town always he is forced to come back to Treorchy rather than face big financial losses.
The Britain show faces these hazards and far bigger losses than the provinces. Tickets are moving very slowly for April 24th. This show is the outcome of all the area shows. If you want them to continue then support it. It has run for thirty-four years. Don't moan when it is too late.
